Orlando Pirates to face Richards Bay in Carling Knockout semifinal fixtures

Orlando Pirates will play Richards Bay while Golden Arrows will face off against Marumo Gallants in this season's Carling Knockout semifinal fixtures. The Premier Soccer League (PSL) held the draw immediately after the remaining quarterfinal match played on Wednesday evening (29 October). Marumo Gallants swept away Stellenbosch FC 4-0 at the Dr Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein on Wednesday to reach the semis. Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo scored a brace while Monde Mphambaniso and Edgar Diala Manaka added one each. On Tuesday, the Buccaneers edged 2024 champions Magesi FC 2-1, exacting revenge on the latter for knocking them out in the first round last season. Over the weekend, Golden Arrows also went past TS Galaxy 2-1 while Richards Bay had a more emphatic 3-1 win over Durban City to secure their third semifinal spot in a row. Pirates last won the Carling Knockout in 2011 when it was known as Telkom Knockout. They will aim to end the drought and in doing so, win a cup double, having already won this season's MTN8. After getting one back against Magesi, the Bucs will look to do the same versus Richards Bay, who also eliminated them from the competition in 2023 on penalties. Below are the semifinal fixtures: The draw means both matches will be played in KwaZulu-Natal. The scheduled dates are on the weekend of 8-9 November 2025. The PSL said it would announce the date, venue, kick-off time and ticket details for each game in due course. Live TV broadcast and streaming services will also be confirmed in the coming days for fans who won't be able to get the tickets.
