Status history
- 1998 - Platinum Stars founded in the North West, a descendant of Khakhu Fast XI, and went on to play in the Premier Soccer League.
- 2017/18 - relegated to the National First Division, where the status was bought by Cape Umoya United.
- 2021/22 - Cape Umoya United's status was purchased by businessman Robinson Ramaite for Venda Football Academy, moving the club to Venda in Limpopo.
- 2023/24 - renamed from Venda Football Academy to Venda Football Club.
