Maritzburg United Football Club were a South African professional football club from Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu-Natal. Founded in 1981, the club spent many seasons in the Premier Soccer League before relocating to Durban and continuing under a new name.

What happened to the club
- August 2024 - after a dispute with the Msunduzi Municipality over the use of Pietermaritzburg grounds, and having lost the use of Harry Gwala Stadium following relegation, the club relocated permanently to Chatsworth in Durban. The PSL approved a name change and the club has competed as Durban City FC since.
Note on our records: this was a rename and relocation of the same club under the same chairman, not a status sale, so Maritzburg United and Durban City are one continuous club. Fixtures up to the 2023/24 season are recorded here under the Maritzburg United name, and later fixtures under Durban City.
