Royal AM are a KwaZulu-Natal club founded by Shauwn Mkhize, who reached the Premiership through two separate status purchases in consecutive years.
Status history
- 2020 - entered the professional game by buying the second-tier status of Real Kings.
- August 2021 - bought the Premiership status of Bloemfontein Celtic, confirmed by the PSL on 17 August 2021, relocating the top-flight place to KwaZulu-Natal.
- August 2021 - sold their own Championship status to TTM in the same window, which is how TTM returned to the professional game.
